I am taking things seriously. Not that you would know. But taking things seriously doesn't have to mean spending every moment with my head down pretending to be busy because I don't know what it's like to feel joy.

Maki: But you were being weird.
Maki: Instead of talking to me for real, you were all defensive about Joker, and you needled ME about just wanting to be fun or normal.
Maki: If it seems like I'm not taking things seriously, that's only because no one ever talks to me about anything serious.
