I think Vergil would have been different. He has a more obvious softness to him.

He was my second guess. Since you're close with Baritones, I figured you knew them. And we have pretty similar personalities.

I'm not sure either of them would be asking anonymous questions about sex drive on the internet, though.

Five did say he likes gaining knowledge. And you've a similar way of arguing.

Aggressive, stubborn and uncompromising? That's sort of the Taisho way of arguing. I used to be on Taisho too, my first few months here.

Indeed! And what makes it so amusing is that in my last debate with him, Five assured his position only to end up refuting it in the end. He's rather sweet, is he not?

But I was not aware we can switch units.

I like him, yeah. I wasn't wrong in saying we're friends.

...And we can't, usually. It happens occasionally that people get returned to a different unit they were on before, and even more occasionally that something weird happens and someone gets switched. Mine was a special case where I used a game reward to do it deliberately.

Why did you do it? Did you feel uncomfortable on Taisho?

[rollplayinghouse]

...Yes. No one who was on Taisho back then is here anymore, so the details aren't really important. But when you have a unit full of people with really different outlooks who are united mostly by being uncompromisingly stubborn, there are a lot of arguments.

I wanted a unit who understood me better. Who I felt closer with.

I see. Do you feel happier now?

Yes. Much.

I am glad, then. I think it's important to find where we belong. We are not much without others.

[rollplayinghouse]

...I don't agree with that. I mean, I agree that it's important, obviously, but I don't agree that we're not much on our own.

[weenwoon]

Hmmm. Then perhaps it would be more accurate to say that we are at our fullest when we are with others who understand us, drive us forward, support us. I think the difference between that and what we can accomplish alone is stark.

[rollplayinghouse]

That's true.

But sometimes you don't have that.

[weenwoon]

...Yes. I am only too lucky that I could find friends so quickly. I know not what my life was like before, but for some reason solitude feels... unnatural to me.

[rollplayinghouse]

Hm.

Most of my life before this was solitary, to the extent I even had a life before this. But I did want connections with people, so I'm glad to have friends and family here now.

[weenwoon]

You have family here, too? I know Five has his brothers, but not much else about others.

[rollplayinghouse]

I've adopted a family. Vergil's my brother, actually. He has a twin on sensitIV, a son on avante, and someone who used to be part of him on ZRAEL. They're also my brothers.

That's wonderful! I hope I can find a family here, too. Who is Vergil's twin? I've actually met some of sensitIV members now.

Dante. He looks like him, but a lot scruffier.

[weenwoon]

[Normally, he's pretty sharp. But oftentimes, he's also dumb as a brick, and does not even consider that Dante might be Vergil's literal twin. Like you know, the one Vergil told him tried to kill him on day one.]

I see! I would like to meet him. Vergil made a very good impression on me; a very gentle man.

It does sound like he made an unusual impression.

Is it unusual for him?

I'm not sure many people would call him "gentle."

...But I've had people call me sweet and kind, and I don't disagree that he has those aspects, so I suppose it just depends what part you get exposed to.

He struck me as someone who has a kind heart, but was forced to contend with too much grief in life. But he read me poetry and offered to help me deal with... the things I'll have to face here. I feel like my assessment of him is rather solid. Don't you find?
